Bestop Acquires the ReadyLIFT, TeraFlex, Falcon, and LOGIQ Suspension Brands, Plus Smittybilt
August 28, 2026
New York, NY – Kinderhook Industries, LLC (“Kinderhook”) today announced that Bestop Premium Accessories Group (“Bestop” or the “Company”), a Kinderhook portfolio company, has acquired the suspension brands of Wheel Pros, LLC dba Hoonigan (“Hoonigan”). The acquired brands are ReadyLIFT, TeraFlex, Falcon, and LOGIQ. In the same transaction, Bestop acquired the Smittybilt off-road accessories brand. The transaction closed on August 21, 2026. This is Bestop’s 11th add-on acquisition. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The four suspension brands design, manufacture, and sell suspension systems, lift kits, shocks, axles, steering components, and air suspension products for trucks, SUVs, and Jeep vehicles. ReadyLIFT builds suspension and leveling kits for late-model trucks and SUVs. TeraFlex has served the Jeep community since 1996 and is known for its premium suspension systems and axle assemblies. Falcon builds performance shocks with proprietary adjustability technology. LOGIQ builds innovative air suspension systems for trucks, SUVs, and vans.
Smittybilt joins Bestop in the same transaction. The Smittybilt product portfolio includes winches, recovery gear, bumpers, armor, and overland equipment for off-road enthusiasts, and holds a deep catalog of proprietary designs. Bestop plans to return the brand to growth through new product development, marketing investments and a renewed focus on distribution channel partners.
“Suspension is a significant category, and these four brands cover the price tiers our customers ask for. The addition of these brands plus Smittybilt in one step gives us a much wider offering for the truck, SUV, and Jeep customer. We are excited to work with Bryce and his team and continue to grow these best-in-class brands.” said Ken Friedman, Chief Executive Officer, Bestop.
“These are category-leading brands with deep engineering benches, built over decades and grown on the Wheel Pros platform. Bestop knows this customer as well as we do, and that’s what gives me confidence the dealers and installers who count on these products won’t miss a step,” said Bryce Castleton, President, Suspension Brands.
“Bestop now covers a much wider set of the truck, SUV, and Jeep aftermarket. These brands are well engineered, they hold real positions with distributors and installers, and they fit the platform we have built with the Bestop team. We look forward to supporting the Company as it invests in products, marketing, and capacity,” said Nate Druckenmiller, Managing Director, Kinderhook Industries.
“These brands engineer and build their own products, and that is what earned them their reputations with enthusiasts. We intend to invest behind that capability,” said Josh Fontenot, Vice President, Kinderhook Industries.
Sidley Austin LLP served as legal counsel to Kinderhook and Bestop.
